While authoring the last post about SEO I couldn’t put my finger on the Google application that provided a view of what’s being searched. Then, ah, they grey-cells recovered the name.

Google Trends provides real-time Hot Trends in search topics. It provides a real-time list of the top-search phrases being executed across Google.

Picking a (sensible) example from today’s topics (left), if my Blog were related to green technology and the environment I know that posting a topic about “earth day facts” matches a current popular search topic.

This simple trick increases my chances of making a Google Page #1 post.
